Avisi Apps builds apps for Atlassian products, which can be found in the Atlassian Marketplace. This privacy statement relates to all of our processing of personal data, but to make it as clear as possible what personal data we process and how we deal with it, we make a difference between several types of processing in this privacy statement.

What personal data do we process?

On our website there are multiple places where you can contact us, for example to request support or to contact us in general. In these cases we process the following personal data:

Improve our services

We process your personal data to improve our services. For example, we track click behavior on our website to analyze which pages and articles are read the most and we track data about the use of our newsletter to gauge if they are interesting and relevant.

Special categories of personal data

We process special categories of personal data in common cases, such as:

  • When you yourself actively send us special category data, for example in a support request or in an email.

We urge you to never send us personal data that falls under special categories if this is not necessary for our processing purposes.

Personal data of minors

We explicitly have no intention to collect personal data about website visitors that are younger than 16 years old, unless they have consent from a parent or guardian. We cannot, however, verify if a visitor is above the age of 16. We therefore advise parents to be involved in the online activities of their children, to prevent the processing of personal data of children without parental consent. Automated decision making

We do not apply the principle in which we make decisions that have (considerable) consequences for individuals based on automated processing. This concerns decisions that are made by computer programs or systems, without the involvement of a human being (such as an Avisi employee).

Data subject rights

As a data subject, you have a number of rights regarding your personal data that we process. We will do our very best to meet these rights. In order to use your rights, you can contact us by sending a specified request to

  • Information and access: You have the right to see what personal data we process of you. On request, we will also tell you how and why we have processed your personal data.
  • Rectification: You have the right to rectification of your personal data.
  • Right to be forgotten: You have the right have your personal data erased. A legal obligation may require us to yet process your personal data. In this case we will inform you about this in reply to your request.
  • Restriction: Are you of the opinion that we process your personal data unlawfully or incorrectly? Then you can express this in order to restrict its processing.
  • Objection: You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data. Do we process your personal data for marketing purposes in this case? Then we will stop processing your personal data as soon as possible.
  • Portability: In some cases, you have the right to transfer your personal data to yourself or another party.

  • Withdraw consent: For example, for receiving our newsletter (opt-out). If you want to withdraw your consent for a different processing, please contact us.
  • File a complaint: Are you of the opinion that we don't act conform the privacy law? Then we would like to hear from you. You can also file a complaint at a competent advisory authority.

To verify that a request to exercise a data subject right is done by you, we ask you to add a copy of your identification to your request. In the copy, hide your photograph, MRZ (machine readable zone), passport number and citizen service number to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but in any case within 4 weeks.

Retention periods

We retain your data no longer than strictly necessary to achieve the processing goals for which we use your personal data.

Legal grounds for processing

We process your personal data based on the following legal grounds:

  • To perform or prepare an agreement (contact for a product or service, job application, organizing an event)
  • A legitimate interest (direct marketing to customers, visitor registration)
  • Consent (marketing activities)

Sharing of personal data with third parties

We do not share your personal data with third parties, except for carrying out our services. These third parties are data processors. We work, for example, with MailChimp for sending our newsletter and Jira Service Desk (Atlassian) for responding to emails and support requests. We also use Google Analytics. We do this only to carry out our agreement with you, for our legitimate interests or when we have your consent. These parties process personal data in accordance with the instructions of Avisi. A legal obligation can be a reason for us to share personal data with third parties.

On our website we use various forms of cookies. We use functional and analytical cookies to ensure proper functionality of our website and to improve our website. These cookies are anonymous: we do not process personal data with them.

Apart from your decision, we of course do process personal data if you have actively provided them to us, e.g. when you fill in a form or when you send us your resume.
